About

Osman Ates

Welcome to osmanates.com. From now on, in this blog page, i will share my view of latest technological innovations; information about cool gadgets and devices as well as my projects and studies. As people who may know me, i’m interested in robotics and mechatronic, thus you will probably see many of the latest showed up robots, autonom devices and remote control solutions which make life easier like home automation systems. Also, i am planning to publish my previous works again because i could not save them during host change. It is a shame for me as a computer engineer. It was caused by other reasons, though.

Although i don’t like the idea of posting information about me, however, i think i need to write some basic information about me.

I am a computer engineer seeking a master’s degree in US. I got my undergraduate degree in Halic University which is located in Istanbul, Turkey. At last semester, for my undergraduate research thesis, i implemented a remote controlled model car. You may think, what is difference, there is millions of remote controlled model car. But the difference is it is controlled by a computer, technically any computer with a usb slot can be used as long as you plug the usb transmitter unit in a free usb slot. You don’t even need to install a driver if you have Windows Xp or above OS (Operating System). You just need a software which is written under C# that receives commands from keyboard and sends to the usb transmitter. The rest is done by the hardware part of my design.

I don’t mention my name, i think you can guess it from name of web page. For now, that’s all. If you have another question, just ask.
